Revered for his “biomechanical” art aesthetic, Swiss surrealist Hans Ruedi Giger (1940-2014) is perhaps best known for envisioning the “Xenomorph” and other beasts in the Alien movie series. His work is highly sexualized, intricate monochromatic scapes that can strike both terror and titillation.
Giger had a deep connection to music, and lent his paintings and sculptures to a number of album covers.
